Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Property & Casualty Insurance practice in Miami, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator to handle sophisticated insurance coverage disputes, including bad-faith matters, in a collaborative environment that values initiative and client service.

The role requires 3–6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience, a JD from a top-tier law school, and active Florida Bar admission in good standing.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record and demonstrated writing ability.
• Active Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Substantial experience handling bad-faith insurance matters.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills; strong analytical ability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
• Demonstrated responsiveness and commitment to client service.
• Federal or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurers and clients in complex insurance coverage litigation.
• Analyze insurance policies, coverage issues, exclusions, and applicable case law.
• Handle bad-faith claims and related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses on coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Manage matters efficiently while meeting court, client, and internal deadlines.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments, strategy, risk, and next steps.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, clients, and other professionals on litigation strategies.
• Contribute to a service-oriented team environment emphasizing responsiveness and high-quality work.
