Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital is seeking a Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician. The role involves observing, escorting, and monitoring patients, and reporting observations to the Registered Nurse.

You will provide basic nursing care under RN direction and assist with daily living activities while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Ideal candidates have knowledge of behavior management strategies for psychiatric and/or substance use disorders and current AHA BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies for psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.
• Able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
• Current AHA BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Observes, escorts, and monitors patients.

Responsibilities

The Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician:

PRNs are required to work 4 shifts per month minimum.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

Must have current AHA BLS CPR
