Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Night Shift Mental Health Technician to observe, escort, and monitor patients while providing basic nursing care under RN supervision. The role includes assisting patients with ADLs and maintaining a safe, clean environment, and engaging patients in recovery-oriented behaviors.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, knowledge of behavior management for psychiatric/substance use disorders, and CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• reports observations to the Registered Nurse
• provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
• engages patients in positive role models recovery-oriented behaviors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders
• knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferred
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
• Must have current AHA BLS CPR within 30 days of hire
