Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital in Portland, OR is seeking a Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician to support patients, observe, and monitor care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

You will provide basic nursing care, assist with activities of daily living, help maintain a safe environment, and engage patients with recovery-oriented behaviors. A High School diploma and current AHA BLS CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies for psychiatric/substance use disorders.
• Must have current AHA BLS CPR

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician:

• observes, escorts, and monitors patients

• engages patients in positive role models recovery-oriented behaviors

PRNs are required to work 4 shifts per month minimum.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

Must have current AHA BLS CPR
