Job summary

Everwell seeks compassionate Mental Health Technicians to support patients in behavioral health programs. MHTs provide direct care, monitor safety, assist with daily living activities, and support therapeutic programming within our Port St.

Lucie facility. You will work with a treatment team to promote a safe, supportive environment and participate in patient education and activities that advance well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health or healthcare preferred.
• Florida Driver's License required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient safety and observe patient behaviors

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) to support patients in our behavioral health programs. As part of the treatment team, the MHT provides direct patient care, ensures patient safety, assists with daily living activities, and supports therapeutic programming.

• Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
• Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately
• Escort patients throughout the facility as needed

• Participate in treatment team meetings and patient education activities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Additional behavioral health or psychology coursework preferred
• Current Florida Driver's License required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Previous psychiatric, healthcare, or nursing home experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis management skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges
