Job summary

Hickam Communities is seeking a General Maintenance Associate - Duct Cleaner to perform duct cleaning and maintenance on HVAC systems for occupied and vacant homes, improving air quality. You will respond to service calls, manage on-call emergencies, and update work orders using mobile devices.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, organization, and the ability to work under pressure, with a valid driver’s license and access to company vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to deadlines.
• Adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Ability to utilize mobile devices, apps, and internet.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialty HVAC equipment.
• Must have a current vehicle license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and complete duct cleaning and maintenance of residential HVAC systems and components.
• May respond to on-call after-hour emergencies.
• Update work orders with time, materials, and notes on mobile devices; report progress to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.

The General Maintenance Associate - Duct Cleaner performs duct cleaning and maintenance services on HVAC systems and components for occupied and vacant homes to improve overall air quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls, complete COM work and other property maintenance requirements including cleaning and maintenance of residential HVAC ductwork, registers, dryer vents and other HVAC mechanical components.
• Maybe required to respond to and complete on-call after hour emergency and urgent repairs.
• Update work order status including time, materials and notes on mobile devices provided in an accurate and timely manner. Completes and submits all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Keeps supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, problems identified/potential problems, etc.; recommends corrective actions to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as pre scribed.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, work to deadlines using sound judgment
• Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments, managing multiple assignments and tasks and work under pressure
• Ability to utilize a mobile device including applications, email, and internet
• Ability to utilize and maintain specialty equipment
• Must have a current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
