Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a per diem Cardiovascular Technician to perform diagnostic cardiology procedures and produce quality images for interpretation. Must have EKG prep skills, cardiovascular knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Expected to handle pediatric and geriatric patient care with professionalism and clear communication. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, dysrhythmia coursework completion, and BLS certification; overtime and weekend

Job description

SUMMARY:

Performs diagnostic cardiology procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

Provides appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to three years experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics.
• EKG recordings: prep, technique, and lead placements.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects.
• Good communication skills, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issue of pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed, weekend rotate.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of concentration, memory retention, alertness and the ability to handle stress with quick response to assigned duties.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of dysrhythmia course
• BLS required

Pay Range:
