Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I to support the MH47 program at Fort Campbell, KY. You will troubleshoot, repair and replace components, focusing on flight line maintenance and using specialized tools and manuals to determine repair methods.

Candidates should be US citizens, capable of obtaining a secret clearance, and prepared for 1–2 week TDY assignments, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and work around aircraft on the flight line.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in Army aviation.
• U.S. citizen and able to obtain secret clearance.
• Willing to travel 1–2 weeks TDY.
• Pass a basic physical to operate flight-line equipment.
• Experience with MH47 or similar aircraft is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the SOATB MH47 program with emphasis on flight line maintenance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, surfaces and controls.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, bulletins and technical data to determine repair methods.
• Enter maintenance in ACN logbook system.
• Operate with aircraft special tools/test sets and maintain required standards.
