Qualifications include US citizenship, eligibility for a secret clearance, and 6+ years in rotary wing/military aviation, with own tools and the ability to pass a fitness test for flight-line duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
• 6+ years' experience in rotary wing/military aviation.
• Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment/vehicles on the flight line and be a member of the aircraft towing team.
• Experience with MH6/47/60 aircraft is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Works supporting the PBMF MH47 program.
• The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulics, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
• Disassembles, cleans, washes, inspects, repairs, and reassembles aircraft in support of phase maintenance events.
• This worker will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
