Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking an experienced Manager of Respiratory Therapy to provide leadership and oversight for the department’s daily operations, with 24-hour responsibility for quality patient care.

You will lead and mentor the respiratory team, collaborate with hospital leadership, and drive initiatives aligned with UF Health goals to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or similar required.
• Current Florida license, RRT, ACLS, BLS for Healthcare providers, NRP, and PALS required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• 8 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory care.
• Develop, mentor, and engage respiratory therapy team members.
• Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, professional growth, and employee morale.

We’re looking for an experienced respiratory care professional who is ready to take the next step in leadership and make a meaningful impact on our patients, team members, and respiratory services.

As the Manager of Respiratory Therapy, you’ll provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department, with 24-hour responsibility for ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered respiratory care.

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Respiratory Therapy, you’ll lead and support the respiratory care team while focusing on clinical excellence, team development, operational performance, and the continued growth of respiratory services.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory care
• Develop, mentor, and engage respiratory therapy team members

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in RespiratoryCare and Bachelor degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or similar.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have current Florida License, RRT, ACLS,BLSfor Healthcare providers, NRP, PALS.

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training:

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Maintains/Exceeds all Specialty educational requirements.

Training as required by licensure.

Experience Required

8years clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

5years of supervisory experience in acute care setting.
