Job summary

Linde seeks a Reliability Center Manager to lead reliability and maintenance across its West Region facilities, including air separation and CO2 production sites. The candidate will drive TARs and outages, implement PM/PdM, RCA, and spare parts strategies, and foster a collaborative team culture while coordinating with engineering resources.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with 5+ years of industrial reliability or maintenance experience, or 10+ years in industrial reliability/maintenance.
  • Experience leading emergency maintenance response and planned outages for industrial plants.
  • Strong understanding of standards and best practices for maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work across Reliability Center personnel.
  • Plan and execute turnarounds (TARs) and outages per Linde processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety and reliability of regional plants.
  • Optimize maintenance-related capex/opex and support plant spend optimization.
  • Implement reliability programs and strategies across the region (PM/PdM, RCA, spare parts).
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement and training within the team.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Reliability Center Manager that will be based at one of our West region locations, Garfield, UT, Ontario, CA, or Pittsburgh, CA. This position will report to Linde’s Maintenance and Turn-a-round Director and will work with stakeholders to achieve strategic reliability goals within the West Region. The overall objective of the Reliability Center Manager is to ensure the reliable and safe operation of air separation, CO2, liquid Hydrogen, HyCO, and other industrial gas production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. They will be expected to work independently and make decisions and recommendations as needed, in consultation with appropriate engineering resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work with the appropriate level of technical discipline and rigor across Reliability Center personnel, while ensuring a safe, timely, and effective response to all asset-related issues within the region
  • Plan and execute turnarounds (TARs) and outages in accordance with the Linde planning process
  • Identify opportunities and implement initiatives to improve the safety and reliability of regional plants
  • Optimize maintenance-related capital and operating expenditures for the Reliability Center while assisting plants in optimizing maintenance spend
  • Ensure the effective implementation of reliability programs and strategies across the region, including Hexagon/ProCal utilization, PM/PdM programs, RCA programs, spare parts inventory management processes, and adherence to Standard
  • Maintenance Practices (SMPs) and Technical Standards
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement to meet productivity goals for the Reliability Center and regional plants.
  • Provide technical expertise, in consultation with engineering resources, as needed
  • Further, you will foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture within the Reliability Center by ensuring the effective development and training of all personnel
What makes you great
  • You have a degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of industrial reliability or maintenance experience, or a minimum of 10 years of industrial reliability or maintenance experience
  • Have experience leading and executing emergency maintenance response and planned outages for industrial plants
  • Possess a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive/predictive maintenance of industrial systems and equipment, including compressors, turbines, high-speed rotating equipment, motors, electrical distribution systems, and substations
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Moreover, you are a self-starter who effectively manages multiple priorities under time and cost constraints, appropriately balances competing demands, and delivers results with minimal supervision
  • You are experienced in industrial operations, engineering, reliability, or maintenance, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Have at least 3 years of profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
  • Possess experience with air separation processes, assets, and operations
  • Have experience with CMMS platforms (such as Infor Hexagon), IMMS systems (such as ProCal), and ERP systems (such as JD Edwards)
