Job description

What you will enjoy doing*
  • Take responsibility as one of two Reliability Engineers managing Air Separation, CO2, and Hydrogen facilities in the North Region
  • Work closely with reliability and operations teams to identify and resolve long‑term asset concerns and reliability threats
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to recommend and justify lifecycle cost and reliability improvement activities
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis processes for major failures to prevent recurrence
  • Assist in engineering, design, specification, and execution of projects to optimize reliability and operability
  • Review and update Standard Maintenance Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Develop and support Reliability Assessments for facilities and equipment
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma to enhance reliability
  • Lead reliability programs and initiatives to improve asset performance
  • Assist with critical spare parts identification and Bill of Materials creation for key assets
  • Balance office and field work with a strong sense of urgency and integrity
  • Travel domestically approximately 20-25% of the time and be accessible during off‑hours as needed

What makes you great
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum five years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven expertise in maintenance and engineering of mechanical equipment such as compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and machinery drawings
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies
  • Experience in engineering, specification, and design of mechanical systems and projects
  • Strong communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead or participate effectively in cross‑functional teams
  • Self‑starter with excellent multitasking and organizational skills, achieving results with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in standard computer software including Microsoft Office and e‑mail
  • Preferred knowledge of regulatory and industrial standards and codes
  • Familiarity with machinery installation, commissioning, and process optimization
  • Certification or status as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional or Certified Reliability Engineer is advantageous
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Understanding of reliability strategies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Failure
  • Mode and Effects Analysis, Spare Parts Management, Planning and Scheduling, and CMMS optimization
