Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, safety, and operations across multiple FedEx locations. The role requires coordinating with vendors, budgeting for facilities needs, and ensuring safe, functional workplaces.

Candidates must be within commutable distance to Memphis, Plano, or Pittsburgh and be prepared to work onsite several times per week. A technical engineering background and 6+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline/equivalent or in Engineering.
• Six years of maintenance/repair experience across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, emergency power, building automation, or package handling equipment.

Job description

This position will be onsite in: Memphis, TN / Plano, TX / Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from Memphis, Plano, or Pittsburgh to be eligible for this role. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities.

Essential Functions

• Manages facilities in accordance with corporate standards ensuring courteous, professional and transparent properties and facilities services.
• Maintains and oversees a company's grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional.
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
• Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline/equivalent or in Engineering.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, emergency power systems, building automation systems and/or package handling equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough working knowledge of engineering and architectural drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulics, pneumatics, structural and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of finance and strong computer skills.

Strong basic leadership, management, human relations and communications skills.

Job Conditions

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Valid driver's license.

If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. Pay:

Pay Range: $7,488.36/mo - $13,006.09/mo
