Job summary

HCSC is seeking a Pharmacy Program Leader to oversee clinical pharmacists delivering medication therapy management across a broad client portfolio. You will drive program development, ensure adherence to clinical standards, and coordinate with analytics and operations to optimize performance.

Required are a US Pharmacist license, 3+ years of management experience, and 5+ years in pharmacy practice. The role supports a hybrid in-office and remote schedule in the United States.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Word/Excel and relational databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of clinical guidelines and pharmaco-economics.
• Experience with MTM, PBM, or managed care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Clinical Pharmacists delivering MTM services across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
• Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with account requirements and clinical standards.
• Segment and manage accounts by package type, aligning pharmacist staffing and priorities with each account’s needs and complexities.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, quality, and other key performance indicators.
• Develop, implement, and optimize processes and workflow to support efficient and standardized operations.
• Partner with clinical, client-facing, analytics, and operational team.
• Support implementation and onboarding of new accounts including staffing, training, documentation, and performance monitoring.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate Clinical Pharmacists, fostering accountability, consistency, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement across the team.

This position is responsible for leading activities associated with administration and management of pharmacy programs including but not limited to assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and promotion of a disease state formulary system; utilization management programs; specialty pharmacy management; medication therapy management, client relationships and support; and development of innovative clinical programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Pharmacist in the United States.
• 3 years of management and/or leadership experience
• 5 years of experience within Pharmacy practice.
• Experience using window based word processing, spreadsheet and relational database software.
• Drug information skills.
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of practice guidelines or practice parameters; pharmaco-economics; quality improvement processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of medication use evaluation principles.
• Ability to remain at a work station and perform computer entry for long periods of time, as required.
• Leadership skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and manage communications professionally to achieve issue resolution with customers, employees, or management

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Additional certifications and residency experience.
• Managed care and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience.
• MTM experience, specialty pharmacy, or government programs knowledge.

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: requires 3 days in office; 2 days remote

Compensation: $102,000.00 - $184,300.00
