Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and optimize processes across new and existing products. You will drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness with a focus on Lean, Six Sigma, and DFM methodologies.

Collaborating with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production, you will manage projects from scope definition to implementation, while exploring new technologies to improve capabilities and competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing/engineering field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering with leadership experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma expertise and certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers.
• Develop and maintain scalable manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production for new product introductions.
• Manage projects including scope, resources, budget, and timelines.
• Evaluate new technologies, equipment, and materials to boost capabilities.
• Set KPIs for manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISO, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support to production and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Prepare reports on performance and improvement initiatives for senior management.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of manufacturing engineers, overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within SYNNEX Corporation. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for new and existing products, ensuring scalability and adherence to quality standards.
• Drive process optimization initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production teams to ensure seamless product introduction and successful manufacturing operations.
• Manage manufacturing engineering projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget control, and timeline management.
• Identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and materials to improve production capabilities and competitive advantage.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and environmental policies.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production teams, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing long-term solutions.
• Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance, project status, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and developing manufacturing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and automation.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
• Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
