Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is seeking an HR Operations professional to support IPM HR Operations across Florida markets. The role covers performance management, employee relations, onboarding, reporting, compensation administration, and training.
Strong HR generalist skills and healthcare experience are desired. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of HR experience, and experience with HRIS (Lawson) and ATS tools.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc (UHS). IPM was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Supports initiatives for HR Operations in Manatee and Wellington Florida markets. Provides a broad range of HR support which includes varied, complex, and specialized assignments. Works on key department projects and may manage employee relations investigations as needed. Supports IPM HR Operations and the market leaders in the areas of performance management, systems administration, employee engagement, new employee orientation, reporting, compensation administration, HR training, and responding to questions. Assists with strategic planning and development to ensure full utilization of Human Resources to achieve goals. Must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of leadership.
Certification/Licensure: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills, performance management, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local). Ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail. Prior experience in Human Resources in a healthcare setting is preferred. Must be responsive in addressing issues and completing projects that require timely management/oversight.
Strong oral and written communication skills; solid HR generalist skills, including experience in recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and employment law. Strong prioritization, problem solving, organizational skills, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Must possess thorough knowledge of the HR standards and guidelines for (not an all-inclusive list) Joint Commission, Wage & Hour, ADA, FMLA, Employment Laws, Civil Rights, and HR policies and procedures and handbook.
Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources preferably in a healthcare setting.
Interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment. Promotes mutual respect and professionalism in working relationships. Able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Strong customer relations/customer complaint resolution skills required. Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
Computer proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint to include email, spreadsheets, database entry, and use of various of office equipment- PC, copier, printer, scanner. HRIS experience required (preferably Lawson); Performance Management and Applicant Tracking systems experience desired.
Minimal. May attend meetings offsite or conferences periodically. Could be asked to travel to facilities on an infrequent basis.
