Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Evaluate and design electrical systems and distribution for our semiconductor site.
• Work with local utility on electrical issues, rate changes, green power, grid improvements, and maintenance.
• Monitor the site's electrical distribution for capacity, weaknesses, power factor, breaker coordination, load distribution, and other issues.
• Manage the site fire alarm system and code requirements.
• Manage electrical projects and other facilities projects as needed.
• Work with fab tool engineers and facilities electricians to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues/problems.
• Work with electrical contractors to maintain the site's transmission level substation, distribution switchgear, transformers, breakers, and electrical monitoring.
• Monitor and track our site electrical costs.
• Define energy savings for the site.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Work experience as a facilities or industrial electrical engineer.
• Semiconductor facilities electrical engineering experience (a plus).
• 3-5 years of experience in plant electrical distribution design and maintenance.
• AutoCAD and electrical engineering program experience (a plus).
• Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience designing for semiconductor fab tool installs and facilities equipment changes.
• Responsibility for the technical or engineering side of the site's electrical maintenance program.
• Ability to evaluate the site's electrical distribution for issues such as breaker coordination, ground faults, phasing, load capability, and power factor.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and with site customers.
