Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Manager of Maintenance and Engineering to oversee maintenance, reliability, facilities, and plant engineering at a Dallas-area manufacturing site focused on animal health products. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and drive plant reliability in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance/engineering.
• Proven leadership and CMMS experience; familiarity with PLCs/SCADA/instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to execute maintenance strategies.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Manage capital projects from scoping to commissioning.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance across the site.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, safety, and supply chain to align priorities.

Role:

Manager of Maintenance and Engineering overseeing maintenance, reliability, facilities, and plant engineering at a manufacturing site focused on animal health products.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include leading multi-disciplinary teams, developing maintenance programs (preventive, predictive, corrective), managing capital projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Collaborates with operations, quality, safety, supply chain, and other stakeholders to align priorities and drive continuous improvement using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM. Manages budgets, spare parts, vendor performance, and technical documentation. Leads troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment upgrades to optimize reliability and uptime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, engineering, or reliability within manufacturing, with proven team leadership, technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, and familiarity with CMMS platforms.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety practices, and automation controls (PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation) is essential.

Preferred

• experience in regulated manufacturing environments (animal health, pharma, biotech), professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
