Job summary

Rheem is seeking an Air and Gas Tester in Montgomery, AL to inspect tanks for leaks and verify gas lines for leaks before packaging. You will follow written or verbal orders, maintain a clean work area, and uphold safety standards.

During the shift you will handle LP or natural gas lines, observe department safety, and support Rheem values while delivering reliable products. This role requires physical endurance and the ability to work in wet conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Eye exam will be administered.
• Must be able to lift 5-25 lbs repeatedly.
• Frequent lifting 25-60 lbs.
• Occasional lifting 60+ lbs.
• Must stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
• Must work in wet conditions.
• Vision level appropriate for inspection.

The Air and Gas Tester will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

Responsibilities

• Must properly hook-up gas lines (L.P. or Natural gas) to units for leaks.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Work from written or verbal orders.
• Observe all departmental safety requirements.
• Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
• May work under extremely wet conditions.
• Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
• May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work in wet conditions.
• Must have vision level appropriate for inspection.
