Qualifications

  • 3 years of Central Sterile Supply Processing experience with leadership skills.
  • ARRT certification eligibility to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Job description

SUMMARY:

Provides healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment through radiographic procedures. Produces images for interpretation by licensed practitioners or at their request.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, and positioning techniques.
  2. Patient transfers.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects.
  5. Ethical and professional conduct.
  6. Understanding of age-related developmental issues in pediatrics and geriatrics.
  7. Flexibility to work overtime, on-call, and weekend rotations.
  8. Participate in orientation and clinical education of student radiographers according to clinical education center guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years of Central Sterile Supply Processing experience with demonstrated leadership skills. IAHCSMM certification or within 12 months of hire.
  2. Graduate of a Certificate Program in Radiography or an Associate in Science Degree.
  3. One to three years of experience preferred but not required.
  4. Certification by ARRT in radiography. Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography.
  5. For recent graduates: ARRT certification eligibility in Radiography, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  6. Full/General Radiography license.
  7. BLS certification required.
