Brown University Health seeks a Medical Assistant Intern to join the clinical team and support daily operations in the physician practice. You will communicate professionally with patients, enter data into EMR, and assist with exams, tests, and procedures under supervision.
The role requires high school senior status in a medical assisting program and current BLS certification. 1–4 days per week schedule is possible with day shifts.
SUMMARY: This position is to function as a member of the clinical team and completes assigned daily clinical operations to ensure smooth day to day operations in the physician practice. The Medical Assistant Intern must maintain a professional, positive manner when talking with patients (and all customers) in-person, over the phone or via email. High School Senior in an accredited medical assistant vocational school - able to read, write and speak English. Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. May be exposed to various patient conditions including infectious diseases, blood, and bodily fluids. Pay Range: $18.00-$27.13
