Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Ultrasound Sonographer for the Evening shift at 2014 Washington Street. The role performs OB/GYN and perinatal ultrasound exams, including Doppler and trans-vaginal studies, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

Requires RM Sonography certification in OB/GYN/Abdomen, at least 1 year of OB/GYN imaging experience, and CPR certification. GE ultrasound experience is a plus; free parking is provided at this Newton site.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OB/GYN and/or Abdomen; vascular a plus.
• Minimum one year of clinical OB/GYN imaging experience.
• CPR certification required; GE ultrasound experience a plus.

Free parking.Evenings!Min pay rate of $45 per hour which increases w experience!About this position: The MFM Sonographer operates Ultrasound Imaging equipment to produce diagnostic ultrasound images and other procedures for diagnosis of disorders and diseases. Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound exams utilizing different scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested. Performs Perinatal Ultrasound procedures and protocolsRecognize desired information pattern and record photographically in order to ensure proper diagnosis of normal and abnormal structures.Perform Doppler studies, trans-vaginal studies and obstetric studies; and assist with cyst puncture or biopsy procedures.Participate in reviewing interpretation or various daily scans with the physician.SummaryResponsible for providing quality patient care while producing ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities also include completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest possible standards of patient care to provide the most remarkable patient experience.Does this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Patient & Exam Verification: Confirm patient identity using two identifiers (full name and DOB). Review exam orders and clinical history. Prepare and clean equipment and rooms; restock supplies as needed.-Patient Care & Collaboration: Clearly explain procedures, considering patient comfort and confidentiality. Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient workflow and scanner use. Provide care within the scope of training and licensure.-Clinical Performance: Perform ultrasound exams and assist with training staff and students. Operate equipment and follow protocols. Complete additional duties as assigned.-Research & Quality Initiatives: Support and participate in departmental research, QA, and improvement projects.
