Job summary

The Sonographer Supervisor at Atlanta Perinatal Associates leads the Sonography Department, overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality imaging, regulatory compliance, staff development, and exceptional patient care across all clinic locations.

The ideal candidate has extensive MFM ultrasound experience, proven leadership, and a passion for building high-performing teams while collaborating with MFM physicians and executives to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Obstetrical/Gynecological or Maternal-Fetal Medicine ultrasound.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience leading sonography teams.
• Current ARDMS certification.
• NT and FE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Sonography Department across all clinic locations.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and support all sonographers and staff.
• Develop staffing schedules and ensure coverage based on patient volume.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of qualified staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance across ultrasound services.
• Collaborate with physicians and leadership to improve workflow and performance.
