Job summary

Sharp HealthCare's Maternal Fetal Medicine team in La Mesa is seeking a part-time Perinatal Sonographer (0.8 FTE) to support day shifts. The role focuses on advanced-level obstetric and perinatal ultrasound for high-risk pregnancies, with emphasis on documentation and image archiving.

Requires RDMS certification, BLS, and obstetric ultrasound experience; must meet state/federal certification requirements. Prior fetal imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the state/federal certification requirements.
• 1 year sonography experience to include obstetrics.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level perinatal and obstetric ultrasounds evaluating fetal development on high-risk pregnancies.
• Ensure accurate documentation and image archiving in patient records.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain image quality and equipment functionality.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
• Provide patient care and education as needed.
