Job summary

NPK International, Inc. is seeking a lab operator within the Site Access division in Carencro, LA.

Under direct supervision, you will safely operate lab machines and hand tools for testing, building, and inspecting products, and support special projects as assigned. Responsibilities include using measuring devices, recording data, following safety guidelines, moving materials with a forklift, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree required.
• 0–2 years lab or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and support operations as needed in the lab.
• Use measuring devices and record observations, test results, and data promptly.
• Follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Safely operate forklift to move product or coupons as required.

Job Summary: Under direct supervision, safely operates lab machines and/or various hand tools used for testing products, building products, and inspecting products. Performs special projects and tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

• Perform a variety of tasks and support operations as needed.
• Ability to use measuring devices.
• Record observations, test results, and related data in a timely manner.
• Follow established work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Safely use forklift to move product and/or coupons as needed.
• Maintain and assist with upkeep of laboratory equipment.
• Willingness to learn new processes, procedures, and technologies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support production and quality objectives.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School or an associate degree.
• 0-2 years of lab or industrial experience
• Experience with hand and power tools including but not limited to drills, circular saws, jig saws, routers, grinders, and plastic welding extruders.
