Position Location: Erie, PA

Manager: Maintenance Manager

Role Level: Frontline

Manager Once Removed: Reliability Manager

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure the reliability and operation of machinery and auxiliary equipment by completing preventive maintenance according to schedule and responding to troubleshooting and repair needs in a timely manner.

Areas of Accountabilities
  • Repair all building issues in accordance with standards.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all capital equipment.
  • Monitor and complete preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment, including injection molding machines, extrusion machines, air compressors, HVAC, fire suppression, and alarm systems.
  • Identify and communicate needs for maintaining a critical spare parts inventory.
  • Work with outside contractors for repair, refurbishment, or installation of building systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment based on production priorities.
  • Report repair status to supervisors.
  • Complete maintenance tasks supporting process improvements and engineering activities.
  • Perform planned maintenance on various manufacturing equipment.
  • Support and suggest improvements to the preventive maintenance program.
  • Participate in launch activities, kaizen events, and lean manufacturing support.
  • Adhere to SOPs, work instructions, safety protocols, and company values.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical credits preferred.
  • Knowledge of injection molding, pneumatic conveying, chilled water systems, and grinding.
