Job summary

Coca-Cola Consolidated in West Memphis is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Operator to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment per SOPs for complex lines. Shift is 4:30pm–5:00am on a 2-2-3 rotation; pay range is $26.77–$28.82 per hour, depending on experience.

You will respond quickly to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safe, quality production and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge with 2+ years in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment.
  • Read and follow SOPs or instructions.
  • Computer skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Monitor equipment speeds, temperatures, and liquid levels.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex process issues.
  • Make mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic adjustments.
  • Read blueprints and machine schematics.
  • Understand complex processing equipment.
  • Show initiative to advance technical expertise.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs start-up Preventative Maintenance and ensures proper equipment start-up on multiple pieces.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain equipment to ensure quality products while following safety rules.
  • Complete PMs and accurately fill out paperwork and work orders.
  • Conduct flavor and package changes and perform proper shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate with teammates to sustain continuous production of correct product at high quality.
  • Maintain 5S and recycling tasks and inspect/change parts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Manufacturing Maintenance Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned production equipment in the execution of the daily production schedule according to the SOP for “complex“ production equipment. This position is also responsible for responding promptly to equipment breakdown and repairing the machinery in a timely manner; performing planned and unscheduled work, making design improvements, and process changes to improve overall production while completing assigned Preventative Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs necessary pre-operation activities including but not limited to completing assigned start-up Preventative Maintenance and ensuring proper equipment start-up and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality products by following all safety requirements when performing work
  • Correctly completing all assigned PMs, ensuring minimal unplanned stops, and correctly filling out all paperwork or electric systems; work orders, part usage, and order forms
  • Performs steps necessary to conduct flavor and package changes accurately and efficiently, and handles proper shut-downs to minimize downtime wasted resources by using advanced troubleshooting skills, determining root cause and establishing solutions, and assisting continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal unproductive time and materials
  • Performs housekeeping to ensure assigned work area is neat and orderly, including completing 5S and recycling activities and inspecting and cleaning change parts as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge with preferred 2 plus years experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment, and, or certification of technical schooling in this area
  • Read and follow SOPs or instructions

  • Competency in monitoring and adjusting equipment speeds, temperatures, and liquid levels
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex process issues

Minimum Qualifications
