Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support line manufacturing, final packaging, and sterilization areas. You will perform installation, maintenance, and repairs, diagnose failures, and document activities in CMMS with clear, concise records.

Requires 1+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma; SAP knowledge and PLC experience are a plus. This on-site role in Puerto Rico emphasizes teamwork, safety, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Requires working knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education.
  • Requires a 1+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical education or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and document in a CMMS system
  • Complete annual validation runs in sterilization’s equipment.
  • Complete training (EHS, process) before the due date.
  • Participate in staff meeting.

A Day in the Life

As a MFG Maint. Tech II, you will bring support to Leads manufacturing lines, final packaging lines and or sterilization areas

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.

Must Have; Minimum Requirements:

Nice to Have:

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
