Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II for a full-time, on-site role in Jacksonville, FL. The position operates on third shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM and supports maintaining safe, reliable facilities enabling life-saving manufacturing and innovation.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain facilities and equipment, work with blueprints and drawings, and use hand and power tools to ensure peak site performance and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in Facilities/Maintenance.
  • Experience using CMMS is preferred.
  • HVAC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
  • Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you’ll play a key role in sustaining a safe, reliable, and inclusive work environment. In this highly visible role, you’ll help ensure our facilities operate at peak performance so teams can continue delivering technologies that improve and save lives.
This role is fully onsite in Jacksonville, third shift: 10PM – 6:30AM

  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
  • HVAC experience
  • Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
  • Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding
  • Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
  • Uses hand and power tools.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in Facilities/Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • HVAC Certification
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
  • 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$51,200.00 - $76,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
