Job summary

KEYTRONIC CORPORATION in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a part-time engineering internship. Interns will assist our manufacturing team and work alongside seasoned engineers to learn and contribute to customer and business processes.

Interns will learn hands-on skills with engineering mentoring to support career goals and gain practical experience in a fast-paced environment, including documentation and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior level Engineering Student or related study.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, customer specifications, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interface with associates in a team-based environment.
• Ability to apply engineering mathematics, algebra, and geometry.
• Ability to use MS Word/Excel/Publisher.

JOB SUMMARY: Assists our manufacturing team. Our interns work alongside seasoned and talented engineers to learn and provide meaningful contributions to our customers and business processes. Interns will have the chance to learn hands on skills outside of the class room with our engineering mentoring them to help them with their overall career goals.

SUPERVISOR: Lead Manufacturing Engineering, and senior level engineers will supervisor this position. No supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Junior or Senior level Engineering Student or related studied with equivalent education level standing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, customer specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interface with associates in support of product designs in a team based environment.
• Ability to apply engineering mathematics, algebra, and geometry.
• Ability to use MS Word/Excel/Publisher

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times.
