What You\'ll Do
- Collaborate with product design and development teams to define product specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Develop, implement, and qualify manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and production rate targets
- Design and optimize production layouts, tooling, and fixtures to support efficient manufacturing
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) Analyses
- Create And Maintain Process Documentation work instructions, process flow diagrams, pFMEAs, SOPs
- Coordinate with supply chain and planning to source components and ensure timely delivery and quality compliance
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Provide hands-on training and support to production personnel on processes, equipment, and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
What We\'re Looking For
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including transitioning products from R&D to manufacturing
- Experience With Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Or Other Process improvement methodologies
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points For
- Experience with magnets, thermo-mechanical assemblies, machining, welding, or vacuum systems
- Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience writing equipment specifications and maintenance plans
- CAD proficiency; experience with work instruction writing, material planning, process mapping, and capacity modeling
- Ability to read technical drawings, including GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
Must-have Requirements / Physical Demands
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to type, stand, stoop, and sit for extended periods
- Dedication to safety around industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work nights, weekends, or be on-call
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000-$145,000/year plus equity and benefits (actual salary depends on level, location, qualifications, and experience)
