Job summary

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) and LVTS, in partnership with the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley (WBLV), seek an Economist with econometrics and modeling skills to support metropolitan planning efforts and workforce development initiatives.

The Economist will lead data collections, analysis, forecasting and communication of regional data, coordinating with federal and state agencies and presenting to diverse audiences, including professional conferences and the public.

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Five years of industry experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with data analysis and planning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and use data for planning questions.
• Create data visualizations for decision makers.
• Lead data inventory and data coordination activities.
• Develop and refine model input data and networks.
• Execute model runs and validate results.
• Prepare technical reports and grant proposals.
