Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. is seeking a Metrology Technician 1 in Goose Creek, SC. You will perform metrology measurements using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers, and CMMs, and analyze data to support design and reliability evaluations.

The role requires knowledge of measurement science, data analysis, and ability to work with 3D models. Multiple shifts and no relocation are noted. U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience or substitution for an Associate degree.
• Program graduation certificate may substitute for degree.
• Experience with metrology tools and measurement schemes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform metrology measurements and surveys using 3D instruments.
• Analyze data and generate measurement reports for end users.
• Coordinate technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design.
