Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking an entry-level Calibration and FAI Technician in Fremont, CA. This role supports measurement and quality programs by calibrating MTE, performing basic inspections, and assisting with FAIRs under supervision.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to build metrology skills. Prior calibration exposure and knowledge of ISO standards are valued, with strong communication across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of experience using precision measuring equipment or performing calibration, inspection, or quality work in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and AS9102 is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and accurate data-entry skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work effectively with tool owners and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MTE inspections and calibrations under supervision in accordance with IEM policies and quality standards.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings to identify measurement criteria.
• Maintain calibration recall schedule and coordinate due dates to keep equipment in tolerance.
• Assist in producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable calibration and FAI records; support audits.
