MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis, IN seeks an experienced instrumentation specialist to calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across the facility. This role includes supervising a small team and contributing to procedures that improve safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities cover reading drawings, coordinating vendor calibrations, and driving productivity gains. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills are essential, with GMP and controlled environments preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of instrumentation calibration and repair experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Calibrates instruments of various types, including electrical and mechanical.
• Troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation to regain proper operation.
• Coordinates calibration shipments with outside vendors as needed.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and redlined modifications.
• Supports development of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Presents ideas for productivity, cost savings, and safety improvements.
• Assists in development of work-related systems and programs.
• Supports facility projects with project reporting in a dotted line structure.

Your Role

In this role you will calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates instruments of all varieties including electrical and physical.
• Performs troubleshooting and repair of various instrumentation to bring instruments back into working order and require tolerance.
• Coordinates with and ships instrumentation to outside vendors for calibration.
• Reads and interprets blueprints as well as “red line” performed modifications.
• Assists Management in development of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Presents productivity, cost savings and safety improvement ideas.
• Assists Management in development of work‑related systems and programs.
• Responsible for support of all types of facility projects. Project reporting is a dotted line structure with respect to specific project responsibilities only.

Physical Attributes

• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to goggles, gloves, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of instrumentation calibration and repair experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or other GMP related industry.
• 2+ years of trade school or technical schooling.
• Documentation experience.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience interpreting drawings and schematics.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Root Cause Analysis, AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Minitab, and/or Jump.

Benefits

Pay Range for this position: $99,300 - $148,900 / year. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
