Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services seeks a Metrology Specialist to support calibration, maintenance, qualification, and lifecycle management of laboratory instrumentation in a regulated environment. You will ensure equipment remains compliant, reliable, and audit-ready while supporting scientific operations across multiple departments.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration within GMP/GxP settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical field.
• Experience in metrology, calibration, laboratory instrumentation, equipment maintenance in a regulated environment.
• Equivalent combinations of education and technical experience may be considered (e.g., 12+ years).
• Experience performing, documenting, and resolving equipment troubleshooting activities and investigations.
• Experience developing and executing equipment qualification and validation documentation in a GxP environment.
• Experience writing and revising technical documents, procedures, reports, and investigations.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced lab.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, qualification, and repair on lab instruments per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex instrument issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment in a validated and compliant state through testing, inspections, maintenance, and documentation review.
• Support installation, qualification, validation, and implementation of new instrumentation.
• Develop, execute, and review validation protocols, test scripts, and qualification documentation.
• Ensure equipment records and deviations are documented and completed within timelines.
• Assist with investigations involving instrument failures and non-routine events.
• Maintain GMP/GxP compliance and regulatory expectations.
