Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Billerica, MA is seeking a Metrology Scientist Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season. This 6-month role involves performing experiments to evaluate liquid filtration materials and developing new analytical methods to support R&D on advanced filtration products.

You will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor filter testing, work with ICP-MS, and collaborate across labs to optimize methods. This position starts January and runs through June, with a typical 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a degree in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering.
• Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, Jan to Jun 2027.
• Must be eligible to participate in a co-op program as required by the university.
• Entegris does not sponsor H1-B now or in the future for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and perform trace level metals tests by ICP-MS.
• Support senior scientist in developing methods for sub 20 nm particle detection with nanoparticle ICP-MS.
• Design and align methods with other labs.
• Analyze results and recommend testing method improvements.
• Maintain records and document the new testing method.
• Present project progress in group meetings.
