Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Lab Technician to provide technical support for Manufacturing, Assembly and Management to maintain quality of all parts produced at plant 1. You will perform metrology tasks, audits, and tooling inspection while ensuring compliance with EEQ policies.

You will work with gear analysis, CMM results, and optical inspection systems, advancing manufacturing quality in a high-precision environment in Detroit, MI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1-2 years similar experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• GD&T knowledge and practical application.
• Advanced gear and spline knowledge.
• Understand machining processes (Soft Turn, Spline Roll, Heat Treat, Grinding, Lap & Test).

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform GP12 audits.
• Read and interpret blue prints.
• Inspect components manufactured at plant 1.
• Inspect and document new tooling.
• Interpret CMM measuring results.
• Set-up, adjust measuring equipment in Metrology lab to ensure proper results.
