Job summary
Intel Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Metrology Engineering Technician to join our world-class semiconductor manufacturing team. You will support module equipment, perform maintenance, and develop tooling to improve process yield and reliability.
This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, documentation, and collaboration with engineering to drive continuous improvement. The position is on a compressed shift 8 schedule with substantial on-site time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM with related experience is required or 2+ years equipment maintenance for STEM field
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related equipment maintenance is preferred
- Strong understanding of metrology tooling and measurement analysis
Responsibilities
- Provide sustaining support for module equipment and components, including installation and qualification of new equipment
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of module equipment per schematics and manuals
- Design tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with engineering on repair development for manufacturability and process efficiency
- Document operational and maintenance procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance
- Support module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and experimentation
- Assist with new equipment installations and process improvements
- Ensure factory commitments are met on time
- Occasional off-shift evaluations and on-site problem solving
