Job summary

onsemi’s Hudson, NH site seeks a Metrology Engineer to perform engineering, quality, and metrology activities supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will evaluate manufacturing requirements, propose measurement strategies, and work cross-functionally to maximize efficiency, yield, and product quality. The role involves MSA, SPC, FMEA, data analysis with Minitab, and operator training.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years in manufacturing, quality, metrology, or semiconductor ops preferred.
• Strong SPC and process capability analysis knowledge.
• Experience with MSA, Gauge R&R, and measurement system qualification.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and quality management systems.
• Minitab experience for data analysis and reporting.
• Lean practices: 5S, Kanban, standard work.

Responsibilities

• Optimize metrology tools and inspection systems in manufacturing.
• Conduct MSA studies to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Develop and improve SPC systems for critical parameters.
• Analyze data with Minitab to identify trends and improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations for quality issues and yield loss.
• Drive defect screening improvement initiatives and process control strategies.
• Support FMEA and control plan development and maintenance.
• Train operators and engineers on quality tools and metrology practices.
• Collaborate with teams to improve process stability and efficiency.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for management decisions.
