Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Dahlgren, Illinois is seeking a Metrology Engineer to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurement equipment in a Navy calibration lab. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and two years of related experience. Responsibilities include calibrating instruments, providing technical advice, and analyzing measurement data to support naval operations. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of work-related technical experience or a GPA of 3.0 or higher may substitute for one year.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy, traceability, and reliability of TMDE through calibration.
- Work independently on complex projects, including analyzing measurement data.
- Calibrate and maintain measurement instruments and systems.
- Guide Inter-Laboratory Comparison program according to Navy METCAL policies.
