Job summary

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a Calibration Technician in Turners Falls, MA. You will calibrate and maintain metrology equipment, communicate across managers and production teams, and ensure standards compliance in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2–5 years of progressive learning.
• Associate degree or certificate in electronics, mechanical trades, eng or related field.
• Knowledge of measurement principles for pressure, temperature, flow, mass and electrical signals.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ANSI Z540 or cGMP guidelines.
• Ability to maintain constant mental and visual attention to testing procedures.
• Working conditions include chemicals, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and catalog instruments and gauges needing calibration or repair.
• Perform calibrations or delegate to competent third parties for calibration/repairs.
• Maintain instruments, gauges and reference standards per applicable requirements.
• Prepare SOPs, forms and guidelines per ISO/10012, ANSI Z540, MIL-STD-45662A and related standards.
• Prepare RFCs and annual budget proposals for calibration expenses and purchases.
• Complete calibrations, qualification and preventive maintenance safely and accurately.
