Job summary

Judd Wire, Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking a Calibration Technician for first shift. The role administers and maintains metrology equipment for product acceptance, coordinating with managers, supervisors, and vendors.

You will calibrate, repair and maintain instruments, prepare SOPs and documentation, and ensure adherence to ISO/ANSI standards while supporting plant operations with accurate data and timely maintenance.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of measurement principals for pressure, temperature, flow, mass and electrical signals.
• Familiar with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ANSI Z540 or cGMP guidelines.
• Ability to concentrate on diverse testing procedures and maintain alertness.
• Work environment may include chemicals, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identify instruments/gauges needing calibration or repair.
• Perform or delegate calibration/repairs to accredited third parties.
• Maintain instruments, references and standards per applicable requirements.
• Prepare SOPs, forms and guidelines per ISO/standards and MIL specs.
• Prepare RFCs and budget proposals for metrology expenses.
• Purchase orders to maintain inventory of testing parts and spares.
• Complete calibrations and preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Handle and maintain Judd's and client equipment properly.
