Job summary

MedPharm Ltd is seeking a Calibration and Instrumentation Technician in Durham to perform calibrations and maintenance on GMP and non-GMP equipment across two sites. You will ensure readiness and compliance of laboratory and manufacturing instruments. Strong GMP knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential.

The role involves collaboration with Validations, Lab Operations, and R&D teams to maintain equipment in a state of control and fit-for-use in both GMP and non-GMP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or associate-level chemistry/engineering with GMP pharmaceutical experience or equivalent.
• Experience validating and qualifying equipment for GMP environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument systems in pharma settings.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours when issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, preventative and corrective maintenance on GMP and non-GMP equipment.
• Maintain logs and documentation for calibrations and repairs.
• Disassemble/reassemble instruments and inspect for defects.
• Enter/update CMMS data related to calibrations.
• Coordinate with validations, QA, and R&D teams to ensure compliance.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ activities for new systems across sites.
