Job description

Purpose: We are seeking a friendly, creative, and determined team player to join our team as a Sales Merchandiser. You will help us continue our tradition of offering fun plush toys across various territories. You will sell and carefully display popular characters from Star Wars, Stitch, Spider-Man, Bluey, Paw Patrol, Batman, Harry Potter, Beanie Babies, and many others loved by collectors and children of all ages. Job Functions - Essential
  1. Meet with store management or decision makers upon arrival at all stores.
  2. Place orders for products to ensure displays meet company standards.
  3. Maintain back stock and stock products on shelves.
  4. Merchandise visually, ensuring all products are correctly priced, facing forward, and upright.
  5. Submit pictures and brief overviews of account visits in all assigned locations.
  6. Suggest new concepts to buyers when introduced by the company.
  7. Build, repair, and maintain displays.
  8. Develop strong relationships with store personnel and provide exceptional customer service.
  9. Communicate with managers and staff.
  10. Visit all assigned locations in a 30-day cycle.
  11. Accept account and territory changes as needed.
  12. Use an iPad to submit orders and visit logs via the company app or website.
  13. Ensure access to Wi-Fi to complete mileage expense reports, emails, and other admin tasks.
  14. Use Microsoft Outlook to communicate professionally with office staff and customers.
Other Functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Requirements
  • Travel regularly (up to 100%).
  • Communicate verbally, in writing, and via computer regularly.
  • Lifting objects up to 10 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs., and occasionally more than 25 lbs.
  • Use an iPad and smartphone regularly.
  • Stooping, bending, reaching, and grasping objects frequently.
  • Sitting for extended periods occasionally.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods regularly.
  • Check and respond to company emails promptly.
Educational / Training and Other Requirements
  • Own a dependable vehicle in regions lacking public transportation, with valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Own a smartphone with internet access.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in sales or merchandising preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
