Job summary

Zodiac Milpro in Stevensville, MD is seeking a Technical Manager to join our Marine Manufacturing team on-site. This role coordinates production support, equipment maintenance, process improvements, and technical collaboration between U.S. operations and European sites.

Key tasks include troubleshooting PLC/electrical/mechanical systems, setting RF welding parameters, CAD design work, and leading upgrades while ensuring safety and quality across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in electronics or a related field.
• Experience in a structured, fast-paced production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Rhino8.
• Understanding of ERP systems; Infor M3 (Lawson) experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the production of non-recreational inflatable watercraft and accessories.
• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment (PLC controls, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems).
• Set and adjust RF welding parameters and establish processes for new products.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on CNC cutting tables, grinding equipment, thermal bonding equipment, and other production machinery.
• Create and modify 2D CAD files using AutoCAD LT.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work with equipment suppliers and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate RF welding procedures, parameters, tooling, and production records.
• Support quality initiatives and address product quality issues.
• Design, modify, and implement machine upgrades.
• Train team members and help coordinate daily production activities.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain product standards and improve processes.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Two-year degree in electronics or a related field
• Experience working in a structured, fast-paced production environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with PLC and temperature controls is a plus
• Ability to work with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Rhino8 Commercial
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
• Understanding of industrial/financial ERP systems; Infor M3 (Lawson) experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and teamwork skills
