Job summary

Zodiac Milpro is seeking a Technical Manager for marine manufacturing, based on-site in Stevensville, MD. You will lead technical support for inflatable watercraft production, troubleshoot PLC/electrical/pneumatic systems, and oversee RF welding and CNC operations.

The role requires a two-year electronics-related degree and demonstrated experience in a fast-paced production setting. Strong CAD skills and ERP knowledge are a plus, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in electronics or related field.
• Experience in a structured, fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with PLC and temperature controls is a plus.
• Ability to work with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Rhino8 Commercial.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
• Understanding of industrial/financial ERP systems; Infor M3 (Lawson) experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the production of non-recreational inflatable watercraft and accessories.
• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment involving PLC controls, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Set and adjust RF welding parameters and establish processes for new products.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on CNC cutting tables, grinding equipment, thermal bonding equipment, and other production machinery.
• Create and modify 2D CAD files using AutoCAD LT.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work with equipment suppliers and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate RF welding procedures, parameters, tooling, and production records.
• Support quality initiatives and address product quality issues.
• Design, modify, and implement machine upgrades.
• Train team members and help coordinate daily production activities.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain product standards and improve processes.
