Job summary

Atlas Copco seeks a Method Engineer to develop and maintain standardized assembly methods, PFMEA analyses, and line-balancing models to improve flexibility and reduce throughput time. The role involves configuring pump assembly lines, tooling, and ensuring just-in-time replenishment.

You will drive process improvements, promote safety and regulatory compliance, and integrate Power BI and ERP capabilities. Hybrid work in the US with a focus on continuous improvement and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in methods or process engineering.
  • Experience with large-scale industrial pumps or related equipment.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standardized assembly methods, visual work instructions, PFMEA analyses, and line-balancing models to achieve flexible, low-throughput-time production lines.
  • Configure new and existing lines for pump assembly and service, specify tooling and equipment.
  • Develop processes for accurate material tracking, damage control, and just-in-time replenishment.
  • Identify automation or ergonomic enhancements to prevent line stoppages and injuries.
  • Implement and monitor poka-yoke solutions, first-time-right processes, and ISO/OSHA requirements to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory adherence.

Job description

Your role As a Method Engineer, your mission is to develop and maintain standardize assembly methods, optimizing production lines, ensuring quality and regulatory adherence, and leveraging tools to support decision-making while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. You will report to the Operations Manager.

You will

  • Develop and maintain standardized assembly methods, visual work instructions, PFMEA analyses, and line-balancing models to achieve flexible , low-throughput-time productions lines.
  • Configure new and existing lines for pumo assembly and service, specify tooling and equpment.
  • Develop processes for accurate material tracking, damage control, and just-in-time replinishment.
  • Identify automation or ergonomic ehancements to prevent line stoppages and injuries
  • Implement and monitor poka-yoke solutions, first-time-right processes, and ISO/OSHA requirements to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory adherence.

To succeed, you will need

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience or methods or process engineering

  • Prior experience working with large-scale industrial pumos or related equipment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 140001, and ISO 450001 standards

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Greens Road office in Houston, TX.
