Severn Trent is hiring a Metering Technician for the Peak District area (SK17, SK22, SK23, S32, S33). You’ll gather meter readings, investigate billing queries, and speak confidently with customers to resolve technical issues.

A proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to work on-site are essential. The role involves remote-based collaboration with contract partners, working to meet targets, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and resolve work efficiently.
• Ability to work in a demanding target driven environment as part of a remote based team.
• Confidence to review and discuss work carried out by contract partners and challenge quality and effectiveness.
• Ability to manage jobs through until completion, share learnings and deal with customer escalations and complaints.
