Job summary

Conservice LLC in Arlington, TX is seeking a Meter Technician to install, maintain, and repair submeters for multifamily properties. You will install, program, and configure metering systems, ensure accurate communication, and support billing accuracy.

This role requires physical work, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional travel. Training is provided, and a company vehicle is supplied along with benefits. Strong customer service and basic Windows skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders up to 10 feet high.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel ~1 week per month and work independently.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, and Gmail is preferred.

Responsibilities

Our customers (property management companies) depend on us to take care of their utility management and billing for their various properties.The big picture: What our meter technicians doOur Meter Technicians install, maintain, and repair Conservice submeters, allowing our billing team to accurately track and bill utility usage by the unit or individual apartment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Install, program, and configure submeters and related communication systems in multifamily homes, apartment complexes, and retail areas.Perform routine maintenance and inspection of submeters to ensure accurate measurement and proper functioning.Ensure communications systems are functioning properly and perform routine maintenance as needed.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to submeter performance, connectivity, or data transmission.Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty or malfunctioning submeters as needed.Calibrate and test submeters to ensure accurate and reliable measurement of water consumption.Regularly climb ladders and work at heights to access water submeters in ceilings or other elevated locations.Lift and move equipment and materials weighing 50+ pounds during installation and maintenance tasks.Collaborate with property owners, managers, and retail store staff to address questions, concerns, or complaints related to water submetering.Educate property staff, residents, and retail employees on the operation and functionality of water submeters.Monitor and analyze consumption data to detect anomalies, leaks, or abnormal usage patterns.Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities as well as make required updates to communication systems.Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in submetering technology.Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while working with water submeters.Must hold a current, valid driver's license and have a clean driving recordSchedule:Monday through Friday - 8 hour shiftsSaturdays may be required as needed, based on the workload.Occasional travel may be requiredEquipment and Training:Conservice will provide a company vehicle, gas card, laptop, cell phone, and any hand tools requiredConservice will provide all necessary trainingTraining will last up to 6 weeks; travel may be requiredBenefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance (eligible on the first of the month following 60th day of employment)Paid time off and holidays401K with company matching### Requirements* Able to use a Windows-based laptop with basic experience in Excel and Gmail* Able to travel 1 week a month* Independently manage time and workload to meet deadlines* Organizational skills and attention to detail* Able to effectively and clearly communicate, written and verbal* Internal drive to find the "why" behind the problem and resolve the issue* Able to lift 50 pounds, climb and work from ladders up to 10 feet high, work in cramped conditions like attic spaces, and meet other physical demands* Mechanically inclined and has experience working with a variety of hand tools* Able to receive supplies and equipment for the job from the Conservice warehouse at the place of their residence or a company-paid storage unit* Must have a secure area in which to park a company vehicle* Must have access to high-speed internet for documentation and other uses* Must have excellent customer service skills* Able to pass a background check* Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
